the good guys

Two guys that don’t need an introduction. Best Serbian export goods since Munchmallow from Crvenka. They have been featured in my previous posts and guests at second Mishu Mitsubishu party. These guys operate behind second largest electronic music stage at Exit Fest, HappyNoviSad. They got/are the brains and they got/are the looks. Who was the support act to recent perfomances of Gorillaz in Skopje and Faithless in Belgrade? They did. They also did numerous remixes, and some people claim that their remix of Umek’s – Lanicor is better than the original. Even party people in Slovenia think so. Right now you better brace yourself and bite your nails with anticipation! Digikid84 is releasing new track Pamela that will feature The Good Guys remix. While you wait they would like to share with you their hottest new track Atlas and I would like to share one of mine favorite Pure Style.

Influences + Dj Sneak

Recently I moved to London. Big change. The day I arrived I was taken to a small birthday party. People There wanted to go out and someone suggested one underground party at which DJ Sneak was playing. YES. Finally I was about to hear him at live performance. His classic mix Buggin’ Da Beats was one of the most listened mix in the late 90′s. I am talking about mixes I used to listen. Chicago house was big for me those years and Sneak as most popular DJ of the second wave of Chicago house scene was my favorite. Deep hypnotic grooves, with the emphasis on the groove, are his signature. That special kind of groove from those days was missing at the latest performance but still, it was DJ Sneak. Great night out.

Dj Sneak – Buggin Da Beats

Two years of Mishu Mitsubishu

This journey nobody could predict. It could have been better and it could have been worse. Writing was never my strong point and my thoughts are better expressed by other means. Luckily, future improvements are imminent.  I, myself, am very satisfied and I hope many of you, while listening to my mixes, are too. In two years since I started this blog and Mishu Mitsubishu parties, I turned from a small relatively known local DJ to international DJ. Now, I am not saying I am popular. LOL. Just that “almost nothing” turned into gigs with Danger, Surkin, Grum, Das Glow and many others in clubs like K4 (Ljubljana, SLO) party nights like Trash Dance (Bassano,IT), Trashcotheque (Beograd, SR) DeMode (Zagreb, CRO) and festivals like EXIT (Novi Sad, SR). Mishu Mitsubishu was never intended to copy things already seen out there. There are many blogs that I read (well, listen is the most appropriate word) and the ones I like the most are listed in my blogroll. Check them out.

This here is a retrospective of mixes I published at Mishu Mitsubishu. Oldest first :)
